Research area: thermodynamic, economic and environmental problems of heat and electrical energy production. District heating systems, cogeneration of heat and power, operating features of energy systems. Nuclear power plants, reactor technique, isotope application, health physics. Economic evaluation of heat and power producing systems, internal and external costs of energy. Environmental effect of energy supply: production, control, emission and atmospheric transport of air pollutants, impact on the environment; mathematical modelling of air pollution, evaluation of air environmental impacts. Risk analysis of fossil and nuclear energy production.
